I hate to say this but one of my players is dead. (derek boogard) am i going to be stuck with his contract or can be be released with no penalty
-
i whether the player is dead or a deadbeat, you can get rid of him via a buyout at 2/3 of the salary for the remainder of the contract length. you will save 500k per yr until 2013-2014 + free up a roster spot.
just post your buyout request on the transactions page and gilly + hockeyfreak6000 will process in due time.

Actually, I think death voids a contract. It's happened a couple of times, Nick Adenhart of Anaheim Angels and Chris Henry of the Bengals, both had their contracts voided. If there is a butout, it's up to management.

will be interesting to see how mike and peter rule on boogy man's contract.

I'm willing to let that contract go away. Death is something no one can prepare for. Make a post in the transaaction section and we will take care of it for you.

thank you
