i do this because doumit is useless for me since i got soto and wasnt planning to resign barton to 8 mil

The Mets do this for a few reasons. one hitters outway pitchers. I am not giving up on barton just yet. he will be 4m cheaper than JJ. JJ scares me. Everything I read says his future is up in the air and more injuries are a major possibility. But then again Barton is strugglin the minors lol so who knows.
