We'll sign him only for this year.

My official roster currently only shows 39 players, is that not correct?  If I do need to release a player, I'll release Bill Hall (and not buyout his contract), otherwise I will not release anyone.

Thirty-nine players it was, and now you are at forty, so you do not have to release a player.
