Title: Rule Discussion: Extension Change
Post by: Drew on July 29, 2016, 01:04:26 AM
Just wondering on people's thoughts towards this possible change in extensions. Currently we go by ranks (which fantrax assures me will return) but wondering if anyone likes the idea of a progression system for extensions?

This means that if a player is extended then their next extensions costs more. This could possibly get more high end free agents (even though we have a ton already) or we would see different players in free agency more frequently.
For example:
Crosby would be 10% increase on first extension then 20% second and so on.

Not sure how I feel but thought it would be worth talking about.

I do not like that idea at all. Lets stick with the rankings.
