Title: Posting Format (6/6/12)
Post by: kenny on July 17, 2011, 06:44:23 PM
Trades

Subject
The subject should state all teams that are involved in the trade.

EXAMPLE: Trade Between the New York Mets, Milwaukee Brewers and the Seattle Mariners

Body
The body of the post should list out which organization is receiving which players, cash, and/or draft picks. If the trade involves more than two organizations, please list out for each team which players they are receiving and which players they are trading away.

Each GM involved needs to post a reply confirming the trade they agreed to is what’s stated in the thread. They also need to state the reasoning behind the trade for your organization; if you were the GM and on your local sports talk show giving an interview, what would you say? This will help the trade committee understand why the trade should be approved, especially for those who are unfamiliar with the players involved.

Waiver Posting
Subject
The body should list the team waiving the player and the player being waived.

If the player has a salary for the current year, the team must pay the salary for the entire year. This must be noted in the body of the post.

Free Agent Signings
Free agent signings are not to be posted on this board. All bids are to be placed in the "Free Agency" board. The final bid and signing will be noted in the Transactions Log by the Commissioner's Office.

All international free agent offers should include a link to a respectable baseball news website describing the player and/or signing.

Draft pick signings are not to be posted on this board. All draft picks are to be placed in the "Draft Room" board. The Commissioner's Office will add this information to the Transactions Log.
