Ottawa management announce a trade with the Florida Panthers to acquire Patrick Sharp. Sadly we must part ways with PK Subban.

D - Ryan Segalla (2013: 4/119 - 0 Games)
Traded to Ottawa Senators
C/LW Patrick Sharp, $4.1m (2014-2017)
RW Viktor Tikhonov, $1.5m (2015-2018)
LW - Adam Erne (2013: 2/33 - 0 Games)
G - Patrik Bartosak (2013: 5/146 - 0 Games)

We hope to make more moves to improve our team and compete for a Play-off spot this season now that we have gained a little cap space.

I got approached by Ottawa for a deal to move Patty Sharp and the starting pt was PK.
After that it was a matter of putting the pieces together. Ulyimately Sens valued cap more than another player so I included ptospects and a pick.
Good workig with you on this deal, Dickie! :toast:

Both teams are getting really great players.
I think Ottawa comes out slightly ahead here with the cap space, depending on who they get with the pick, and if Erne pans out like people hope he will.

:iatp: Well said by the Detroit owner. Im with Iz on this.
Sens have been up against the cap since the offseason when we tried to deal and my players were too expensive to fit their budget.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Sens win this trade.
Sharp is scoring more and is way cheaper than PK.
Then Ottawa gets all those other pieces in the deal and it's a clear win for DD.

:iatp: PK's younger while Sharp is hitting his mid-30s.
Either way a good deal for both teams.

I added the Trade icon to the first post because someone was too lazy to do it.
