Title: Ottawa Completes Trade with Chicago
Post by: dickiedunn on September 19, 2015, 02:53:32 PM
Traded to Senators
Anton Khudobin, $1.5m (2013-2016)
C - Dylan Larkin (2014: 1/15 - 0 Games)
Joakim Nordstrom, $0.2m (2015-2017)
Peter Budaj, $0.5m (2014-2016)
Round 1 - 2016 Chicago Blackhawks

Traded to Blackhawks
G - Andrey Vasilevskiy (2012: 1/14 - 16 Games) GP updated Apr12, 2015
Ryan Garbutt, $2.3m (2014-2017)

Ottawa management want to translate Vasilevsky's potential into real production immediately. This trade is the realization of that.

Senators are one year removed from the Franchise NHL Presidents Trophy in 2013-14 and need to capitalize on a strong core of players that remain from that team.

Khudobin is capable of taking on a heavier workload while Budaj has the potential of earning the Back-Up role in Los Angeles.

Dylan Larkin is a diamond in the rough and the 2016 First Round Draft pick both ensure our minor league system remains healthy.

Chicago to confirm this trade. Thank you PPG for the professional trade talks.

Confirmed.
Getting a star goalie of the future is never cheap. I think we paid a hefty price but well worth the potential we're getting in return.

Thanks DD!
