Title: FGM Rule Book
Post by: BHows on August 27, 2015, 07:56:28 PM
As you all know Ernie (Flash) spent a lot of time researching and providing new data causing us to make changes to Extension Values of our league. The old values were established when the league was formed in 2009 as was the Rule Book. With that in mind, what better time than now to revamp it also? It has been a pet project of mine; something I've wanted to do for quite a while.
The purpose of this endoever is not to make major rules changes but to formalize, consolidate, and clarify what already exsists.  My latest snafu regarding Releases/Buyouts is a perfect example of rules that exists yet aren't written and why this task is necessary.  We have also made a few changes/amendments this year that are "patched" in. Hopefully, by the time this is done, we will have a secure document that we can reference with the confidence that we both understand and trust it.
When the season is over and in the ensuing month, I will attempt to break down each section of the rules, one at a time, and present changes as I see them to the league as proposals. I'm only one set of eyes so input from the GMs will be very much welcomed. Time is really not an issue and, as always, I invite any and all the participation I can get.
Thanks for your time,
Rick

I know I said I would start at the end of the year but what with WC Week I found myself with some time on my hands. The first phase is almost ready for presentation.
When I'm satisfied with it, I'll post it for review by the league. At that time we'll hash it out until we have a finished product. ALL comments/suggestions will be welcome.
BTW- You can take a peek @ http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?board=3240.0. It's locked so you can't make comments but you can get an idea of what I have in mind
