Title: Hurricanes and Maple Leafs Trade

Hurricanes trade:
C Eric Staal, $8.3m (2015-2016)
RW Wayne Simmonds, $4.5m (2017-2018)
G Carter Hutton, $0.2m (P-15/16)

for

Maple Leafs:
RW Phil Kessel, $5.6m (2017-2018)
G John Gustavsson, $1.8m (2015-2016)
LW Joffrey Lupul, $4.3m (2016-2017)
2015 3rd round pick

Eric Staal will probably end up on the real life Maple Leafs, so it seemed fitting.  I have too many centers and Kessel is a more durable better sniper than James Neal and he turned into a Kessel playing with Crosby and Malkin, so by that math Kessel should turn into an Ovechkin.  So it was a Simmonds for Kessel deal and then Staal came in to bring it home.  My team is now pretty much complete.

Though, I'm not buying that Kessel is going to explode in Pit.  I think he's going to bring everyone else down a notch.

Oh how the advanced stats beg to differ.  Crosby doesn't get dragged down by anyone.  His shoulders are equal to Atlas himself with the amount of garbage he carries for the Penguins.

I don't need stats to know that Kessel is a cancer that brings down every team he's played with.

Sorry - just realized that Toronto has not confirmed.  I already processed the trade.  If Toronto doesn't confirm I will reverse it.
