Tigers send:
3B Chase Headley (salary: $6m in each of 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018)
$2m in 2017 and 2018 to help cover Headley's salary

Angels send:
$2m in international funds

The Tigers make this trade because, while Headley is still a useful player, we could use the IFA money to continue this rebuild.

Angels approve.

Angels have been hit hard with injuries so getting Headley will help shore up the offense. Angels in win now mode so giving up some international funds is worth getting a useful piece at a decent price.
