Title: Hawks strike 1st deal with New Coyotes Owner
Post by: PsychoticPondGoons on April 23, 2015, 11:35:20 AM
The mind is terrible thing to lose. I might've lost mine because I couldn't remember I sent this offer to Blkhwkfn. LOL Sorry man. North of five-zero and it shows sometimes.

Hawks deal Krejci for fair value. He is worth the dollars but we would have to forego some depth. It's a balancing act but this deal lets us backfill our minor league wit Kichton, a good prospect on D and the high 3rd rounder. Blk wanted to move his spare part goalies so he tossed Scotty our way. No problem man.

TO BLK'S COYOTES :PHO:
C David Krejci, $4.5m (2014-2015)  expected to get an extension worth $6.7m (2015-2019)

TO PPG'S HAWKS :CHI-NHL:
D - Brenden Kichton (2013: 7/190 - 0 Games)
G Scott Clemmensen, $0.5m (2014-2016)
Round 3 - 2015 ARI

Glad to pop :PHO: trade cherry! Lets do it again sometime.  :toast:
Coyotes to confirm.

Ok I did what I said.I wouldn't do, I traded a draft pick. The thought process was easy, this team is bottom of the barrel. The yotes are in serious need of an overhaul. Not much is in the pipeline, Kitchen has developed nicely, he should hit the NHL ice about midseason after some AHL seasoning. The draft pick going to the Blackhawks is a 3rd pick. Krejci will add MUCH needed scoring to a weak coyote team. I hate losing, I've studdied the league....I believe by year 3 this will be a playoff team, but more has to happen.

A win for both teams as Krejci was an extensive extension for a Chicago team near the cap ceiling so Arizona benefits by acquiring a star before he tests Free Agency. Kichton is a defensive liability but if a team can find him the right ice-time to showcase his offensive skills he will be alright.

:iatp: I think Chicago got a decent deal for a pending FA set to earn 6.7m  The price for Arizona wasn't steep so good for both teams.

We have 10-11 Trade Committee members. Only 3 have posted a vote and I'm in the deal so can't vote.

Waiting for a few more votes or another day.

Hawks have sent a PM to Arizona informing them they can cancel this trade if they feel in any way this deal doesn't benefit the Coyotes franchise.

I know Blkhwkfn is starting to understand the way Extensions work around here so will give Arizona a chance to reflect on the value being exchanged here. :toast:
