Ottawa management are pleased to announce they have come to an agreement with the Colorado Avalanche on a 3-player trade.

To Colorado
Colin Greening, $2.0m (2015-2016)
C - Vladislav Namestnikov (2011: 1/27 - 4 Games)

Coming to Ottawa
Carl Hagelin, $3.7m (2014-2017)


Senators agreed to this trade despite wanting to retain top prospect Namestnikov but felt it was prudent to add an established skilled Left Wing before the Play-offs.

:iatp: sens win now and avs win nextvyr when Namestnikov gets fulltime status and Greening gets a new coach to play for. Hageln is still young with some possible upside.

Namestnikov is awesome. Greening is a wait and see guy. Hagelin is a bit overpriced. :iatp:

Normally this sits and stews at least 24 but it's trade deadline time so we're going to put this through on Fantrax so teams know where they stand.
