Canucks:
RW Brent Burns, $5.8m (2016-2017)
5.8m to cover the salary this year
2.9m in 2016

for

Hurricanes:
2015 Flyers 2nd round pick
2015 Blackhawks 2nd round pick
2015 Hurricanes 2nd round pick
2016 Hurricanes 2nd round pick

This goes against my norm of augmenting my team through our draft with NHL ready players, and is definitely tough with 2015 being classified as an incredibly deep draft.  But, I thought I really needed a top dman and this nets me one of my favorites without having to give up any position players as I go for the championship.

As much as I hate the Hurricanes getting stronger...

I'm glad I'm #2 in the power rankings but #4 in my division , I think gypsie was just buttering me up to approve this trade :rofl:
