Title: Extension Period #1 Approaching
Post by: Drew on January 07, 2015, 01:41:23 PM
The first extension period is approaching and will begin on January 22nd. This also means that free agency will close on January 21st.

I will try to have projected cap space updated to reflect where the real NHL believes it will be at which is $73.0m which is up from our $71.1m cap this season.

just have a q about extentions on players on two way contracts that are in the minors, how many years can we sign them for ? and if its more then a year can we use them for ir replacements next year and send them back down to minors or they have to be on last year of contract?

Rules state that they can be sent back down only if in the final year of the contract.

If I sign a player on a two-way contract now, and he has to be signed to a one-way deal, do I have to move that player up, or can he stay in the minors?

He can stay in the minors.
