D Torey Krug, $5.9m (2014-2018)
G Michal Neuvirth, $1.5m (2013-2016)
RW Daniel Briere, $1.5m (2014-2017) hes on the Preds fantrax roster

TO BUFFALO  Cap hit 10.0
D Jack Johnson, $5.1m (2013-2016)
G Dustin Tokarski, $3.4m (2014-2017)
C Casey Cizikas, $1.5m (2012-2015)
RW - Ben Hanowski (2009: 3/63 - 16 Games)  GP updated Sept3'14
Round 4 - 2014 from BOS originally SJ

B's make this deal to bring home Krug, offload a Hab goalie and trade in an underperforming Center for a vet RW that still has a little gas in the tank. The deal cost more than we initially wanted to deal with the inclusion of the spec and draft pick but we're gaining a tiny bit of cap out of this.

Lots of combos thrown around but i think we're satisfied this works for both teams. Thx BB!  :toast:

Buffaslugs to confirm!

Buffaslugs to confirm!

Sabres confirm.
Jack Johnson is hitting his prime at 27 and has been posting strong numbers for yrs whereas Torey is more expensive and still needs to be signed by his NHL team. Dustin is ready to take over as Price's shadow and he's always been a great goaltending prospect with strong numbers in the AHL and we've got Enroth, Miller to start and Driedger and Jarry in the minors ready and waiting for their shot. Cizikas will bounce back and is 13yrs younger than Briere who's on his last leg and we needed a C with more experience than Vitale, Matteau and Adam to start with Roy and Gaustad. Buffalo wanted to add more scoring this summer and we're doing that. Thanks to JD for reworking this deal with the pick and Hanowski. Buffalo's rebuild is going strong! :win:

I see this deal as very even, though I give the edge to Buffalo for getting a bit younger and picking up more pieces.

Montreal started Tokarski in the Play-offs last year and sat Budaj which was telling. I personally like Michal Neuvirth but he has disappointed or underwhelmed the last three seasons when given an opportunity to seize the starter's role. I give the Win to Buffalo for acquiring a strong overall package in this trade.

:iatp: Boston lands the goalie with higher potential to earn more starts but I think Buffalo gets the better overall package of assets.
