Hate to lose the rare cheap FA signing, but I am going to have some depth issues here and figured adding a pick will help eventually.

The draft pick is officially #52. It is pretty familiar here in :EDM: , as it was us that dealt it to :TBL: a few weeks ago. Re-acquiring draft picks, only in :EDM: At least this version has goalie options.

Good thing Jonathan knows it is pick 52 and not 36. That could make a big difference. Its a simple straight-up trade.

That 2nd from NJD is originally from :CLS:

Of course I ask myself "Why didn't NJ just bid on Nemeth?" It seems odd to give away a 2nd Draft pick for a Free Agent that wasn't in demand. Again, this one trade does not hurt New Jersey however these sorts of deals can begin to take away from their ability to compete this year. Of course perhaps New Jersey has more of an eye on the future.
