I fon't like this trade... It seems a little one sided.....
-
Maybe needs a bit more info. I believe Ducks are doing this to diversify their line-up and acquire more players to work with in their lineup as they are working with a short bench. Should Ducks provide more info?? :iatp:
-
Very 1 sided in Minnesota's favour.
-
I think this trade is rather unbalanced as well but didn't want to ruffle feathers. Sorry Drew but an explanation wasn't necessary, most of us are a pretty good judge of talent.
-
Ok ya understood, what should or needs to be added for this to be better?
-
Not sure, but that deal could seriously harm the Anaheim organization by losing Getzlaf and Perry, not much offense behind them. I like Koivu but since he broke his leg two years ago he hasn't contributed much scoring. As a league moderator its up to you to protect organizations from self-destruction. If the GM bails its gonna be a tough job to fill that position with a third-line roster.
-
What about throwing in Methot and Fedotenko?
-
Honestly, after giving it some thought Tampa approves of this trade. Althouth the consensus feels that the deal was lopsided in Minnesota's favor, after looking over both teams roster, my opinion is that the unbalance of the deal is not skewed enough to warrent a veto. If Anaheim is worried about a short bench that GM should should pick up a couple of Duck prospects in FA. McMillian is available who projects as a second-line LW is active.
-
The deal is horrific, but as long as there is no collusion theres no reason it shouldn't go through...
Congrats to the Wild for wrapping up a championship with just 1 trade.

So you approve the above deal? I will PM the Anaheim GM to include more detail for the trade.
-
big big trade. im not a fan but i know neither owner is helping the other as a favor.
-
Not familiar with the all of the players, and I don't necessarily rely on points alone, but here is the total points this season for each side:
players Ducks receive - 6 players, 277.25 pts.
players Wild receive- 4 players, 444.4 pts.
I agree there isn't any collusion, but can't a trade be vetoed if it simply too one-sided? Again, I'm not a great fantasy hockey 'knower', but there seems to be a pretty big disparity already just from a simple member like myself.
-
So is this now 3 confirms from Washington, Colorado, and Tampa.

Not that I love the deal, or I'd make the trade; but this deal seems pretty legitimate. For those who don't know, the Trade Committee approves not based on talent or etc, but based upon whether the trade is genuine. We don't want to have any cheating.
This is a quote from Chris on a previous trade.

Terrible deal for the Ducks. I have no idea why the Ducks would do this trade. But I don't think there is cheating going on either. I don't blame Drew for trying to push this deal through. I would have done the same thing. Kudos to the Wild for pulling off a steal. :toth:
