Horcoff owed 14.5m over 4 seasons. Has to be paid out over 4 seasons because that is the length left in his contract.
So therefore until 2014-15 he will be paid out 3.63m (rounded to 3.6m) per season.

has to be three years, isnt a high enough yearly salary for four years... =1.7m cap hit

please note that Horcoff is supposed to be at the 1.7m for 3 years.  $5.1m total due on contract x 66% buyout fee (rounded up) = 3.4m / 3 years = 1.2m.

so...please re-examine and let me know if you still want to process.

How did that happen? He wouldn't have been a free agent this summer and was currently under contract by Edmonton until 2014-15 at 5.5m a season. This contract was signed the year after they went to the cup final. Just wondering.

Ok I see sort of confusing that the same team then resigned him. So Souray shouldn't be on Edmonton's roster either?

Does this mean Souray is not on my roster, and I have no associated penalty?

Also, can I keep Horcoff at $1.7 ?

THis makes a hugh difference to my Cap position

Please let me know

thanks
