Title: Oilers ProFSL Roster

Current Roster shows a Salary of $61.606 and is above the Cap

It has Horcoff on twice, at $5.5 and at $1.7

It also shows $0.0 for Cogliano and Gagner

Is there a penalty if I drop Souray at $5.4 ?

Here is the rules on releasing players

Releasing Players Under Contract
A buyout will occur for 66.66% of the contract value to be paid in equal installments.  This may be spread out over the years remaining in the bought-out contract.

For Example:  Lets say Pittsburgh decided to waive Sidney Crosby, $8.7m (2012).  The total contract value for Crosby would be $8.7m for three years ($26.1m).  66% of the contract value (rounded to the nearest $100k) is owed to the player, which in this case is $17.2m ($26.1m x .66 = 17.226).  This may be spread out over one, two or three years (because Sidney is signed for three years).


Next Chris will work on getting your roster updated. His PC is currently experiencing problems. Hopefully anyday he will be good to go.  :koolaid:

Horcoff's contract will be the 5.5m because as an Oilers fan I hate that contract and can't believe they signed him to it, as for Cogs and Gagner. Any players with $m (2009-2010) beside their name has to be resigned before January 1st or they will be released to free agency.

I am new at this, so I need a little help

I think Gagner is ranked 42nd this year and 90th last yr, therefore he would have to be offered $4.1 per year

Cogliano is ranked 675th this yr and 95th last yr so I would have to offer $1.6 per year

How many years could I go with Gagner?

If you have cap room otherwise you will have to make room, they will both be 3 year contracts.
