C/LW Valtteri Filppula, $3.1m (2013-2014)
G Al Montoya, $0.2m (P-13/14)

for

:BUF-NHL:

RW Jason Pominville, $5.3m (2013-2014)
LW Sven Baertschi, $0.2m (P-n/a)
D Jamie Oleksiak, $m (P-n/a)
C Luke Adam, $0.2m (P-13/14)

I need a goalie as I am weak at this position. Filpulla is a good 2 positions players and is similar to Pominville for points.  Montoya is traded for 3 prospects with a limited future I think.

Montoya is a good netminder to have with Pavelec struggling mightily... Though, Al hasn't been very sharp either.

I'd be interested in him if you want to turn him around, to handcuff to Pavelec, who has been disastrous since I traded for him.

Trade is approved whenever Ian confirms.

I confirm this trade. Val has been doing some good stuff in Tampa, but I've never had a lot of faith in him, and soon enough he will be out-gunned by all the young talent in the TB organize.

I was always really pulling for Montoya because he went to my Alma Mater, U of M, but Pavelec seems to have a strangle-hold on the #1 goaltending spot no matter how good or bad either of them play.
