Title: Pirates / Cardinals Trade
Post by: chrisetc21 on September 30, 2013, 06:52:38 PM
The Pirates trade $7.5 million cash to the Cardinals for their entire international money allotment, $4.935 million.

Make sense for my team, should help restock my farm system.  Thanks.

I just posted that cash can only be traded for the value of a contract of a player.

No, this is what you posted.

I am going to add a rule that only cash to cover contracts can be involved in a trade.  No other cash trades can be made except for the following:

1) The trading of International Signing Funds can be traded

2) Cash to cover a contract can be exchanged

The international funds isn't the issue, it's the 7.5 in exchange, at least how I am interpreting the rule. I believe, and correct me if I am wrong, but a non 40 man player could be traded for international funds. But you cannot buy international funds (essentially picks in this instance).

exactly

If cash is traded it can only cover the contract of the player traded up to the value of each year of his contract.

all international funds can be traded but not just for cap.....cap can only be traded to cover a contract no more

You could trade Joe Blow spec for international funds if you want
