Title: St.Louis / Carolina TRADE

Blues receive:

Shea Weber, $8.0m (2015-2016)

Hurricanes receive:

Alex Steen, $3.4m (2013-2014)
Cam Atkinson, $1.6m (2013-2014)
Erik Johnson, $4.5m (2014-2015)
Total $9.5M

The Blues give up more fantasy points as well as depth to bring in a personal favourite. I am working on a few more deals so no need to panic Blues fans!!

Ripper and Jamesgoods came into the league and are making strides to make their teams their own. Ripper gets a player he likes who get points. Weber has a big cap, but Steen and Atkinson are in the last year of their contracts and will most likely be due for raises next year.

The Hurricanes win this deal, but will probably have to dish out some cash next year which could cause interesting cap decisions.

I like that both these new Owners are making moves and talking trades.  :thumbsup:

I will start saying :STL-NHL: needs to be careful of how many mega contracts they're adding on. There aren't too many teams around that can or are willing to add a big contract. :thumbsup:

Otherwise just two of our newest owners shaking things up and making it interesting for the rest of us. :toast:
