Yeah, I am giving up a ton more b/c of the restrictive rules of the league, but I get a player, who can help me now. I could of got a guy at 8 not too far off, but again I get a player who I trust more here. 2.8 was a hard pick to move, I could of got a real solid guy there. I was #9 in scoring and #22 in standings, so my team is not far off. I will take on all risk in the trade.

I actually think Capitals won this trade by getting a can't miss prospect that's NHL ready with the 2nd overall pick.

i guess i can add more to it than what I said.  I wasnt sold on the top picks this year which is why I dont mind trading down.  Also the top picks command a higher signing salary.  With the minor league growing in the next too seasons it makes sense to diversify and fill my minor league.

Its a good move by both teams. The Caps get a less questionable prospect and potentially one that can contribute now and the Isles get more picks.
