Title: Anaheim and Florida Trade - PICK IS OTC
Post by: Capn Cally on July 24, 2013, 02:37:02 PM
Florida Panthers Get:
:ANA: 2014 Round 1
:ANA: 2014 Round 2
:ANA: 2015 Round 1
:ANA: 2015 Round 2
C Ryan Strome, $m (P-n/a)

Anaheim Ducks Get:
Pick OTC (Round 2, Pick 3)
Round 3, Pick 8
C Alex Galchenyuk, $0.2m (P-14/15)

Sucks balls losing Gally, who at 19 is a Team USA Olympic team invitee, but love love LOVE the picks for the future.
There's still a TON of great talent left to be drafted, but our roster is filling up so it also made sense to give back 2 picks in this year's draft to :ANA: who wanted more picks.

I accept

After looking over the Draft board I have names that i truly want to select so went on a hunt for them.

Cally has been after Strome for months now it seems and I kept denying, but I really love Gally and was willing to mortgage the future stud picks as i am stocked with young talent right now!

can't believe we actually swung a deal after bargaining for Months now.

cheers Cally

Got that right! Love the way the kid plays the game - not just pure offense, he can play some D as well... Maybe like a Ryan Kesler with a bit more offense (Think Kesler numbers, but with Kesler minus the Sedins on the PP when he scored his 40 goals).

Lofty expectations from me since he's behind Tavares, but hopefully he can be a 70 point NHL'er or so.

Gally gets to be the #1 dawg in MTL so his upside is higher, and he's more offensive too which this league rewards.

Anaheim already traded their 2014 2nd rounder.

Oh? What trade? Didn't see it in that draft pick tracker. 3rd Rounder is gone...

Hahahaha, wow

By short I thought it was going to be a trade a month ago, not an hour ago!

Once you guys revise this, Anaheim can go ahead and make the OTC pick right away.  As long as Cally agrees that if the trade is vetoed he will take the player Anaheim drafted.

I don't think it's a veto risk, though.
