I thought we could stash europeans that move back home in the minors? Or is he retiring altogether?

If he does play in the K, Nelly can just stash Kovy in the minors and be fine... I personally would rather that wasted space sit in the minors than to let half of it sit on my NHL team.

Kind of an iffy rule I guess as he actually formally retired from NHL not just bolted to the KhL like Radulov

Ya it is a tough but he did officially retire from the NHL so therefore will have to be bought out.

Didn't help Ottawa that Schneider was moved to NJ....that hurts too.

Gilly's situation with his goalies was even worse. Assuming Bryzgalov goes to Russia (for the sake of argument), and Hedberg getting the hook along with Reimer demotion to 1B (Bernier's contract suggests he's the man).
