Portland Trades:
PG Mike Conley 5.2m 2019
2021 2nd via :SA:
LAL Trades:
SF/PF Otto Porter 10m 2021 (4.8m paid this year only)
2020 1st :LAL:
Conley was a big part of my success last year and always liked his game but being expiring plus injury and not great fit with Jazz so far he was expandable. Porter has bascially same issue as Conely and need to wait longer to return but willing to take a shot and see what happens. Future money is rough but swapping picks here makes it worth while and I will tackle cap next year down the line.

Lakers confirm.
I'm trying to be conservative with my future cap in preparation for my contention window starting next season. Porter jr was a contract I used to be comfortable with, but his injuries have since turned me off. I'm also not a fan of this coming draft class at all, so the pick swap doesn't feel like much of a hit to me. I'm not certain what Conley will offer me, but overall this is a move for seasons coming rather than this one. Thanks for being the only team interested in my players Vik! :cheesy:

I think this puts POR over cap by $5m next season so it'll be fun to see Vik wiggle out of that hole in the summer, haha.
Nice cap dump for LAL and it only cost a move down the draft board essentially. I can't speak to the depth of draft talent this year, but I'm sure Wiz knows what he's talking about.
Funny that a 10-3 team tied or 3rd Overall in the league doesn't see this year as a "contending" year though. I lost out in the 2nd round of playoffs last year after being the #1 seed, so you never know what can happen!
