Well I never gave an answer before in my last post ( at least I didnt intend to). I wanted to see what some others said and maybe some more logic and thinking behind the deal. I still dont love the deal but its just mot bad enough to veto. St. Louis is on his last leg and Kunitz is surviving on Crosby. Again dont love the deal but I can respect both owners and the directions that they see their teams going.

Sorry if I put words in your mouth.  Like I said I think his deals give merit to his argument, that's all.

no worries,  I only pointed it out because I didn't want people to think I was trying to insult anyone,,,, you pathetic baboon. (sorry kinda lame but the best passive aggressive insult I could come up with today)

I am ok with the deal, on first glance it did seem to be a little lopsided, but there is the potential for some nice talent going to Tampa. I think Bjugstad is going to be a real nice player, and Johnson has been on fire and has shown he can put the puck in the net. Couple that with some depth, another prospect and cap space,  I will approve.

I really don't like to give out my strategies and kind of hate myself right now for giving it out on here, but as you pointed out yes, my team has always been built on depth, very few star players and the ones I have always earn their keep.

i am not trying to argue the trade to be approved at this point but just point out where I think the trade committee has IMHO failed to see the value for future trades.  I see this as a dead deal.

I just want to say that Snug and Tubbs are both great GMs. And Snug after years of competing against you in draft choices, prospect pickups, FA, and almost every move I make, you should know that I respect you and the way you run your teams a lot.

I understand that its tough for a rebuilding team, and I also like to think hard about a players future and potential.

It looks like I was the only person to actually veto, so you shouldn't think a deal is dead just because people are mulling things over. I'm not too worried about this league going into a vetoing spree. I've only ever vetoed like 3 or 4 times since this league was created. We have great knowledgeable GMs here, who arent afraid of making moves.

yeah i kinda made an assumption ,  now i am an a$$ and an Ump with shun me.  I thought there were 3 vetos and that it was basically dead.
I shouldn't have insinuated that we are getting veto happy.  I think that came from experience of seeing some trade committees go south very quickly because of certain precedents etc.  I should leave that baggage at home.

Not a huge fan of it as it is all mid-range prospects and you would think a stud potential player would be heading back the other way two of the top scoring wingers in the NHL but if this is the risk/reward play by the Lightning then I will let them go with it.

I think we should mull this over for a week so that Colorado can't use these players against me this week!
