OF Jacob MacCarthy spec
C Ronaldo Hernandez spec

To Colorado for:

SS Paul DeJong 2021 $8.8m ($7.8m pd 2019 and 5.8m pd 2020)

Same reasons I listed before. I'm hoping these big bats pan out

For me, still a based on the same reasons given with the last trade.

Adding Hernandez doesn't tip the scales much IMO.
Especially with the money that's still being paid. Shouldn't be a need for that given PDJ's talent and production.

That's just me though.

rockies agree to trade. yes some people might not think im getting but i think i am this. these young guys will help my team in long run. im a spec guy and i like building my team around specs. im adding a top 50 spec in c by aquireing  hernandez and adding a future sp in sheffield and adding a great of in mccarthy . this kid has a power in his swing and when he joins the majors i see him hitting a tone of homeruns.  sence i have joined wcb2 i also believed in alowing owners to make trades and i have never veto a trade yet as long as its not over blown trade and i believe this one is a great one for both gms

  Hernandez isn’t a top 50 prospect but he’s a top 100. Dejong is a nice piece but this is nothing egrious, the package is reasonable enough

I still think it’s a little light, but the inclusion of a top 100 makes it more reasonable.
