Title: Hawks/Blazers Trade
Post by: Vik on January 01, 2020, 05:52:06 PM
Atlanta Trades:

PF Nemanja Bjelica 0.5m 2022
C Brook Lopez 5m 2020
-5m paid this year only
SF Dorian Finney Smith 5m 2022
-5m paid 2019 and 5m paid 2020

Portland Trades:

C Thomas Bryant 0.5m 2021
-0.5m previously paid this year
SG Rodney Hood 1m 2021
SG Terrance Davis 0.5m 2022
SF Cody Martin 0.5m 2022

Let's try this again without Griffin. I wasn't sure we'd still get something done but given TC seems to value Griffin more than I do, found a version I still like with Beljica instead. Beljica is not going to reach Griffin's upside but same time is on a friendly contract and much safer option for me. Despite Bryant being most valuable long term overall think this still improves my team for another playoff run this year and still wanted to bring back Lopez.

Little better value here, although Lopez is a nice fantasy player still, at $5m for 3 more years after this is a bit of a burden as he ages. Bryant is a nice piece on a good deal, but only 2 more years till he hits FA.

Deal passes.

We both got a lot of moving parts, let me know roster decisions and I'll update everything overweekend.

Blazers will have everyone on active, but will post separately all moves.

 :judge: 0.2m budget on Hood

Moving to complete, but deal puts Hawks over cap, PM sent with simple fix (I think you might have underestimated the Delon Wright Buyout was 9.6m, put it all this year but will allow it to spread it out given all the moving parts)

Hawks now legal, per PM 5.5m cap paid this year on Delon Wright buyout and remaining balance 4.1m next year.
