I'm ok with expanded playoffs, just logical with expanded teams. As it don't change anything for division winners, let's go with divisional round:
Pittsburgh vs New York, Montreal vs Toronto - East
Vancouver vs Calgary, Chicago vs St. Louis - West.

Losing odds for lottery can be seen as a penalty for some GM, less chance but it's only odds a % of chance.
I precise that Minnesota is not concerned.
and if majority doesn't want expanded playoffs I'll be ok with that

My psychic energy has been geared towards only needing to beat Pittsburgh.

I'm Ok with what the majority wants to do from here on out, but I think we should continue with the play offs as is. I know if I were one of the teams considered in based off of what is posted on fantrax now and would be out based off of what we want to do, I would be pissed.

Decided to change to the proper format that we have after expansion. This is the way it should have been and was my fault for forgetting about it.
Matchups on fantrax are current.

Changing the match-ups mid contest was monumentally disrespectful to everyone who set their line-ups for last 6 months. It is a grinding effort to reach the play-offs where competition is (and should be!) more than just an exercise in the auto-accumulation of points.

As with players in the game, superstition is involved. Willpower and intent matter. When a match was close between my team and Tony's I could feel his strength of mind, and for this I called him a Jedi. These contests are personal! Often when two teams clash they will outpace everyone else in the league while one bests the other by a fraction of a point. This is how the match between Toronto and Chicago was shaping when it was abruptly interrupted.

I was looking forward to my playoff match-up with Chicago for months and feel intensely that I have been cheated by what amounted to fixing one mistake with another. Commitment to expanded play-offs needed to happen before they started. Once a contest has begun it should be sacred, and at this point the integrity of the contest is all that matters.

Polling GM's on the fly amounted to little more than lip-service. A veneer to justify a decision that had already been made. The reality is that it was a profoundly arbitrary and heavy-handed action. At this point I am questioning my continued involvement with the league and demand an acknowledgement that this kind of mismanagement is not acceptable. Why should I maintain my activity and commitment if this kind of meddling is permitted?

I honestly cannot say this better myself. I remember when the league started, I had an intense rivalry with the Montreal. I looked forward to playing and trash talking him every chance we got. Then he left, but tony remained and Slack joined, and the three of us had a solid rivalry. I remember the first year slack got into the playoffs, I beat him. The next year, he beat me. The year after that, he got his first title against tony. It was a great storyline that could not have been built without the playoffs.

I know time was of the essence, but you should have waited for more gms to respond.

I also couldn't agree more. This league is slipping into the ordinary when once it was a premier league. I am saddened by that and will decide if I want to participate moving forward

Overall this is a great league, been a lot of fun in my half season so far, but I have to agree with everyone the playoff situation was pretty poorly handled. As I told SlackJack, I would have been far happier with the lose (as happy as one can be losing lol), had we played each other from the begging of the week.
