Title: Assessing interest in League Concept (Agents vs GMs)
Post by: ldsjayhawk on October 16, 2018, 02:12:53 PM
PROFSL used to have a league called Agents vs GMs.  I am considering the possibility of bringing the concept back.  This league concept pits GMs trying to build an MLB team against Agents trying to get top dollar for their players.  The league will be head to head crowning a GM champion, while the top agency will be decided by the value of the agency.  I'm still forming the rules, but I am trying to find out what kind of interest there would be before putting a lot of effort into it.

This would be a free league. I am possibly considering very few rules as far as what goes in regards to contracts. If you can negotiate it and I can put it on a spreadsheet, it would be fair game.  However, commissioner will have oversight.  Also, we would probably keep performance based escalators and options out as they are out in MLB.

I am also considering the possibility of using other non-conventional rules or using them elsewhere if this concept doesn't pan out.  If you have a creative or interesting rules concept you have considered or would like to see implemented in a league post in this discussion:
