Here we go again...Jim Those was a 13th round pick. These picks have value. Not everyone is going to make it, but that isn't the point of the league. It is fun to find that diamond in the rough. A ten round draft will not even keep our minors half full and free agency is getting ridiculously overpriced in this league. Besides if you're not going to do the work, why does it matter to you any more?
I'd like first 10 rounds like normal, then every team that still wants to pick send a proxy list to the Commish. The Commish auto drafts the rest of the draft off those lists. Certaintly on the GM to keep track of when they're up in the later stages of the draft. You can't hold hands until the end. Also, I agree that those later picks are not as valuable that a skip should even matter, but with 200 minors and teams like mine having 100 open spots, those picks are still useful.
