Realized Fantrax was still a go so checked back.

Round 1 - 2019  (from :LAK:*) 4th overall
Anthony Duclair, $5.5m (2017-2021)

Getting this deal done with less than 4hrs on the clock for Boston's pick at #4. Looking to get a franchise player of our own so we add cap hit with Duclair who is going to replace Erne's scoring and sweetened the deal with Dube to get the Bruins to send us the pick. JD to confirm.

I thought I could reinstate Anderson cheaper through FA. Clearly I was wrong. Too bad I didn't know so many teams wanted him or I would've trading him for players I want.
Ouch! :o I think Anderson's cap hit was 6.7m before the BO. He's only 24yo and hitting his stride in Columbus too. Sometimes you roll the dice and see what happens. At least you get some cash back. :thumbsup:

:iatp: The question to ask is whether those 3 1st rd pks, Turris and SDP 1st rd will be better than Hughes or Kakko? I say definitely Yes! But weigh the deal as a whole and I got to give the edge to MTL for added help from Calvert. Like Crow said, time will tell because if Hughes/Kakko are no better than Nico Hischier then Vegas makes out like a bandit. Also, if those 3 first rounders are used on specs that never reach their projected ceilings like Olli Määttä, Malcolm Subban, Brendan Gaunce or even Scott Laughton then oh well, tough break for VGK.
