Giants Send:

OF Trent Grisham $3,175,000

2B Jonathan Aranda PC

Royals Send:

OF Jose Siri 800k

SP Martin Perez $2,700,000

KC agrees to this trade as KC is going full Oklahoma City Thunder with our rebuild and Siri is a little too old for our expected timeline. We also went outfield heavy so far in this draft so we're expecting to need more infield depth at this time. Perez was always going to get moved as we had no intentions of resigning him next year. Grisham could be flipped for other prospects as soon as next year or come off the books entirely in two years so that works for me.

Don't love moving Aranda but with so many of my pitchers starting the season on the IL could use some pitching reinforcement. Siri I think is a better bet as a backup than Grisham.
