Title: Valid Bidding Proceedures?
Post by: joeshmoe on March 14, 2013, 10:24:22 AM
I would like an interpretation of what constitutes a valid big, specifically if I create the topic.  If I misspell a name is that thread valid?  Is it valid if I do not include the Position as requested?  I haven't ever included team name because of the fact it leads to confusion.  I've never encountered a problem for doing just Name and Position.  Thanks for anybody time who

This really should be discussed.  I lost Hannahan a few years ago because I misspelled/typod it Hannah.  What is good and what isn't?  Especially with smartphones we should have a rule for whats acceptable and what isn't.

The name needs to be spelled right. If you would have put Hannahon... then that should be fine... But only putting Hannah... in noway should be exceptable.

In Scouting Department a member accidently put Trevor Harrison instead of Travis... Im sure every member in the league knew who he meant, but I still had him redo it.

1. Because the name isnt right so you cant even search for it in the forum search.

2. So members do who you are bidding on

Player name - position - and organization should be somewhere part of the post. This is to avoid confusion as there are 12,000 Jose Lopezes in organized baseball. Be as specific as possible.

There was also a case in MB where the spelling wasn't even close. Take your time and spell it out, or cut and paste from Fantrax and put it as the header.
