The Phillies and Giants are running away with their divisions. The Cardinals and Cubs are running away from the rest of the field. More than likely, this leaves the last wildcard spot between the Mets, Dodgers, and Marlins. Brew Crew is in the hunt as well but they have some work to do.

American League races are much tighter albeit with the same number of teams truly in play. The A's have a slim lead over the Rangers and Mariners. The O's and Yankees are trying to stay in the race and wish they had a team like the Astros to pummel.

In the National League:
#1 seed is the :CHC: 120-24-0
#2 seed is the :PHI: 113-31-0
#3 seed is the :SF: 108-36-0
Wild Card Race
#4 seed is the :STL: 116-28-0
#5 seed is the :NYM: 95-49-0
#6 seed is the :LAD: 91-53-0
:STL: still has a chance to take over the top spot as the #1 seed, with :PHI: within hailing distance of the #1 seed too.
The battle for the final Wild Card spot between :NYM: and :LAD: is going to go down to the wire.
In the American League:
#1 seed is the :OAK: 101-42-0
#2 seed is the :CHW: 92-52-0
#3 seed is the :BAL: 90-54-0
Wild Card Race
#4 seed is the :SEA: 99-46-0
#5 seed is the :TEX: 89-54-0
#6 seed is the :BOS: 84-60-0
:SEA: still has a chance to take over the top spot as the #1 seed.
The battle for the final Wild Card spot between :TEX: and :BOS: is going to go down to the wire.
Great to see the :BAL: atop the standings in the AL East. They, along with the :SD: in the NL West (3rd w/ a record of 75-68), have made the most impressive during this 2016 campaign. Not to slight the :PHI:, :CHC:, :STL: or defending champ :OAK:--it's just great to see some new teams in the playoff hunt. A special shout out goes to :BOS: too!

That #1 seed has been back and forth with :CHC: and :STL:. Fun battle, but hoping the Cubbies finish strong! :bacon:
