Title: RC Decision - Wildcard Playoffs in 2013

Are the Rangers facing the Red Sox this week to determine which of the 2 WC teams will move on to the playoffs?

Same question for the Nationals and the Astros in the NL.

Is the regular season effectively already over?

Since the regular season is still going with many teams in the NL still in contention, it'll be rated by the end of week standings... Then you match up the two highest scoring teams in the NL. As far as AL goes, yes the score from Texas and Boston this week will determine who plays next week in the actual playoffs
