Izaman should send PR a note and get that illegal roster adjusted if needed. The Fantrax problem threw a lot of us off. I could not set line-ups on Saturday after the draft function was finalized. I sent PR an email and said as much.

Glad I did not have to fix the issue.

I believe it was a future lineup illegal issue. I saw a red x in our matchup, but it went away now.

Looks like Izaman3 made the necessary adjustments before it became illegal.

Saturday when I attempted to finalize the annoying 2014 fantrax Draft function it FUBAR'd a number of rosters especially those featuring players that got updated by Fantrax for dual, multi-position eligibility.

It took 2 days to allow Fantrax to attempt to revert back to Friday's roster status - which they said they could but that failed to produce the required result. Then we took Monday-Tuesday to resolve.

Last 2 yr Fantrax didn't cause a pile-up whenever we finalized the draft status mid-season.

when someone wins a player you drop, the amount per year they are paying the player is deducted from your buy-out.

ex. you drop Crosby and pay 5.5M(2017-18) buyout cost.  someone wins Crosby in FA for 7M(2017-18) , then you would not have any cap hit, as 7 > 5.5

So if you overpay for someone in fa, you can drop them and potentially get all the cap back.

The discount has been available since Franchise NHL started up in 2010-11.

Does a player have to be activated from IR once their status in the NHL has been upgraded OR can they stay there for the season after being placed on IR.

I dont see anything in the rules stating that a player has to be activated from IR once their NHL status changes , but Fantrax is forcing me to activate them or my roster will be illegal. 

I am moving Patrick Wiercioch off IR for now just so that my roster wont be illegal tonight, but that will make my pro roster hit 31.  I will wait for an official answer on this.

Well roster limits are at 30 so if a team has 30 roster players plus another in LTIR who's no longer injured then you can't stash the extra player which if why it makes rosters illegal.

Not covered in rules on profsl but standard for most leagues.

ok, I thought considering you have to still cover the players cost while on IR and it only opens up a roster spot that it would allow you to choose when you want to re-activate them.  Kinda makes the IR spot pointless unless the player is out for the season or you have enough injuries to keep cycling them in and out of that spot.

if a team had roster space and they decided to park a guy in the LTIR hole it would be ok. but in a deep 30 team league where scrubs count I can let someone stash a player especially if they are at the 30 man roster limit already.
