« on: May 01, 2016, 04:24:02 PM »

$1.8m (2017-18)

Players with strike throughs already have an extension, so they do not need to be extended again.

Recall and extend:
*Valterri Filppula, $2.6m (2015-16)
2016 136, 2015 97
96-100 0.9
$0.9 ('17-'18)

Any player with a * next to their name cannot be called up to the main roster at this time because waivers are not open. They also cannot be extended while in the minors. Filppula will need to be released.

Josh Jooris, $1.0m (2015-16)
2016 173, 2015 131
Over 100 0.7
$0.7 ('17-'18)

Alexander Petrovic, $0.6m (2015-16)
2016: 130; 2015: 219
Over 110 0.8
$0.8 ('17-'18)

Calvin Pickard, $1.0m (2015-16)
2016: 52; 2015: 47
46-50    1.6
$1.6 ('17-'18)

Dustin Tokarski, $1.0m (2015-16)
2016: 77; 2015: 52
50-60    1.2
$1.2 ('17-'18)

All of these players cannot be called up to the main roster at once because you only have space for one player on your roster. For your reference, I will copy and paste your current Marlies roster so you can decide who to call up and know who is aloud to be called up until May 31, 2016.

Toronto Marlies
Total Roster Size: 27/30
Minor League Cap Space: $1.7m
*Valterri Filppula, $2.6m (2015-16)
Josh Jooris, $1.0m (2015-16)
*Korbinian Holzer, $0.8m (2016-17)
*Nathan Beaulieu, $0.8m (2016-17)
Alexander Petrovic, $0.6m (2015-16)
Damon Severson, $0.6m (2015-16) $0.8m (2017-18)
Calvin Pickard, $1.0m (2015-16)
Marek Mazanec, $1.2m (2016-17)
Mackenzie Skapski, $1.5m (2016-17)
Dustin Tokarski, $1.0m (2015-16)

The extensions to Tokarski, Pickard, Petrovic, and Jooris will be processed on your page.

Not looking to re-sign Beck, Scrivens, Methot.

Processed along with the Hayes resigning.

Rookie Signings:
Derrick Pouliot, N/C (34 games)
2016: 223, 2015: 211
Over 110 0.8
$0.8m (17-18)

Let me know if I did anything wrong.

Pouliot was drafted 8th overall, so because he was over 110, he must be signed according to his draft racking according to this list:

Draft Position - Salary
1 - $2.8m
2 - $2.5m
3 thru 5 - $2.0m
6 thru 10 - $1.6m
11 thru 17 - $1.2m
18 thru 25 - $1.0m
26 thru 30 - $0.8m
2nd Round Picks - $0.6m
3rd Round & Over/Undrafted - $0.5m

Alright, release Filpula
Release Tokarski, and I have the space for the other 3, correct?
Sign Pouliot to $1.6m contract for max term please.

Thanks!

You have space in your minors to keep all four, but you only have 1 spot on your main roster. Are you sure you want to release Tokarski?

Oh, I thought I had to call them up. I'll keep Tokarski at that contract. Bring Petrovic to the main roster please (If I can do that at this time lol)

  • ldsjayhawk: @jwalker I make like 2-3 trades a year for each of my baseball teams, maybe.  I'll tell you part of the reason I don't trade.  Every trade discussion starts out with the other team wanting my top prospect regardless of what I am trading for.  I am not trading Jackson Holliday for your backup catcher who is going to play 20 games this year.

  • ldsjayhawk: Trading should be a win-win situation for both teams.
  • dbreer23: Agreed. I think the Devers deal in FGM is a good example of that. Devers gives SD some now (and future) pop, giving up substantial pieces to get him (Mayo, Keith, and one other).

  • Jwalkerjr88: Carolina has kyren williams right now cause i traded him for a 2nd and a 4th. Id rather have kyren today lol
    Today at 01:54:28 PM
  • Brent: Agreed.  I have Amon Ra St. Brown and Aiyuk because I traded JJ.  I couldn't have acquired a player like ASB where I was picking in the 1st so I down tiered at WR to make a trio of Chase, ASB and Aiyuk instead of JJ, Chase and fill in the blank.
  • ldsjayhawk: That is probably even more true in baseball since your drafts don't payoff for 5 years or so.  And I will admit my conservatism may be the reason I only have one championship here at ProFSL

  • BayAreaBallers: although my last draft class and fa class kinda lead me to a run so it can happen
    Today at 02:27:21 PM
  • Brent: Yeah, it does help to have a big draft class and available cap.
  • Brent: I'm contemplating doing a complete tear down in NFL Live and rebuild.  Honestly, I probably should have postered for it to be this season.  I still might, but I would legit need to go into the draft with 3-4 top 10 picks/+ many others.
