Knights agree im looking compete this yr and this yrade does it. Im getting alot of tallent back but im also moveing alot of young tallent to get it done. By makeing this trade i am moveing 3 1st rd picks and along with 3 2nd rd picks along with my best young players to win know. Ill still be able to draft players with my remaining draft picks and will restock my minors after i move all this young tallent

Kings agree! Did not know what way to take the team whether bulk up or strip down and offers came in for Doughty and ended up being much larger with Kopitar and others. So decided to go the 'get young' route and build a nice young team and see what the youngsters can do for these newly branded Kings, or should we say Princes for now LOL.

Huge deal here, it's a lots of top picks and young talent but also good proven talent going back. Adding in the good chunk of money paid I am fine with this and do believe in trying to win now if you think you have the pieces. This sets up Vegas nicely while kings team could be a contender in 2-3 years from now.

 :iatp:

FYI for everyone to keep in mind, set up is no trade committee and I am fine with can process deals within 1-2 days of being accepted by both teams. However, if anyone does ever have an issue with any trade do feel free to let it be know can always PM directly.

I caution everyone when making these kinds of deals where 1 team gives up active players for prospects and draft picks. the league was set up with the thought of not allowing a team to go into a rebuild and not be able to field a team. make sure you check the rules and will be able to comply with them.

Some of the young prospects he is getting will start this yr. Looking over his team and what he got back in return he will contend  by 2022 earliest.

Those 2020 rookie draft picks are for the rookie draft that just happened right? I find it interesting everyone is willing to move those not knowing the draft order. If those two 1st round picks turn into Lafreniere and Byfield then this trade looks pretty bad for the Knights.

Very good point, it kind of slipped my mind when I did my trade as I working on sorting out all other things for league and my own team. Preferred grabbing 2nd goalie in trade than other ways, but in hindsight may have been better off waiting. Guess we'll find out soon if either team made a mistake.

Thinking I'll randomize and get order up tomorrow and technically rookie draft can start as early as this weekend since it doesn't really impact other moves much.

This was my thought as well with moving picks before we knew the order.  Kings have a real good shot at #1 now.

Draft order posted, 1st round picks ended up being 4th and 6th so not too bad but the luck wasn't there for Lafreniere.

Deal passes, will update everything shortly.
