My cats sit 7th in the Atlantic while waiting for Demko to start his ascent to becoming the best goalie on the planet.

our biggest enemy right now, is ourselves. With Raanta likely out long term, I think that takes Edmonton out of any contender discussion. I still think I am good enough to win a bad division though. I have scored 120 in 2 of the past 3 weeks without any G, so that says the upside is still there, but its hard to imagine that being sustainable. Probably just an injury or 2 away from being a .500 team.

Well Philly has the 6th highest points scored total in the entire league yet we keep playing a bunch of overachieving teams that should just lay down and roll over for us but don't.

So we're 6th in Metro a division that's turned into a dogfighting and everyone is gunning for the top spot.

Oh wait, at least :NJD: Jersey Devils are rolling over for us with their 1-38 record.:toast:

In the new NHL, there's plenty of injuries throughout the year. Lots of key players landing on the IR. Anyone can climb out of the gutter now and move into a playoff position by Spring time.

The Eastern Conference is tough. A couple of good teams will be left out of the dance. The West on the other hand has about 2-3 good teams total.
