Anyone else forget their password to the site. LOL

I'm not going to watch any games on TV. I'm going straight down to the arena in person so I can let the owners and players know EXACTLY how I feel, LIVE!!! And there's going to be beer and beer cups flying.

Actually the lockout was good for me because I got to squeeze in more hockey games down at the rink. What's not to love about a sport where you get to absolutely nail someone against a wall only to get a 2 minute rest period for a job well done.  :disco:

We have plenty of young players but not enough vets kicking around the roster to compete in this league. So I pulled the trigger with the Capn and popped my trade cherry to boot. lol

Dealing Dumba and the First Rder is like taking a shot in the nuts but if it makes my team better sooner than later I'm going to do the deal. I like that both Dupuis and Gerbe are eligible at two positions which makes them a little more useful and they have very reasonable contracts.

Guance is a good prospect to sit on while the real Avs rebuild.

The way I see things it's like trading
Mayfield, First Rder = Dupuis a 135 point guy or 175 last yr
Dumba = Gerbe a 2nd liner for the Sabres, only 25yo
Second Rder, Mallet = Guance
Three free throw ins from :COL-NHL: Cohen, Paliotta, 4th Rder

It's the owners. Their GMs are the ones dishing out the cash. The players are just signing on the dotted line. You don't think eggheads like Holmgren, Sather, Lowe, Tambellini, Burke are responsible for jacking up player values?

Anyone else notice 3 Oiler or ex-Edmonton execs in that list. :P

  • Braves155: The problem with the minors is not the system as a whole, it is some Farm Systems are more 'elite' at being able to produce talent than others. If you look across MLB teams you can pretty easily tell the great systems from the weaker systems and talent development
