Welcome!! :toast:
-
Welcome Brandon, happy to have you!
We're in a bit of a slack period right now, switching over to 2017. The only thing of immediate concern might be the FYPD that starts on 11/1.
Feel free to contact Flash or me if you have any questions.

That apparently came in 2nd last season from what I am told. Would never have guess that by looking at the roster. Still happy to be a part of the league.
-

He does that every year after the season.

He does that every year after the season.
He has not responded to multiple PMs, did not participate in the FYPD, and as a person on the ProFSL staff, has not logged on since early October. As invested as he seem to be after Colby asked him to be a ProFSL staff member, he has simply vanished. We have given him every opportunity to let us know he still wants to be part of FGM, but has not responded to any communications.
He agreed to help take over another ProFSL league by recruiting new members and soliciting new leadership, but failed to do any of that. Many of our new members are from that league he promised to help and didn't. So given the choice, we decided to go forward with a person who wants to be in FGM.

I've been trying to launch a new league for 2 months and can't get Chris or Colby, for that matter, to even open a new board for it.

I know Colby has been traveling a lot. I'm disappointed Chris hasn't been around. He was working hard on building that team up. I hope nothing bad happened to him and all is ok.

Sorry Chris but it this day and age there is no excuse for not answering PM from 2 months ago. Especially if you're invested in the site. Wild Card is going to die on the vine and I've tried to revive it under another name. Can't even get either of them to give me a page on ProFSL to start it.
Pretty much feels like we are on our own

Please join me in welcoming a new member to FGM. The :TOR: will now be run by Travis F. (soonerolitigator). He is a ProFSL veteran who will take an active approach to making the :TOR: a competitive team in the AL East.
Welcome Travis! :toth:

Welcome! :toast:

Another vet bites the dust.
Welcome Travis!

Daniel has not logged on to ProFSL since 8/29 and has ignored numerous PMs from both Ernie and me.
Participation is key to a fantasy league so a three month absence can't be tolerated when there is a replacement eager to take over a team. Ernie and I, along with a lot of other FGM owners devote a lot of time here and we all deserve better.
Welcome Travis, I hope you enjoy your time here. I would say that your first order of business is to make a decision on Derek Dietrich. His prospect contract expires on 1/1/17 at midnight.
If you have any questions feel free to contact Flash or me.
-
Thanks guys. I am looking forward to getting the Jays turned around. Just when I had the Angles there in QuickPitch the league dissolved so here is to another chance. I will do my best to get up to speed and be active. I will be very busy over the next month or so, but I will make sure I am ready for a full off-season.
-
I am pleased to announce that we will have a new member in FGM. The Marlins have been neglected and lost for awhile, and we are fortunate to find some who is willing to make the competitive once again. Please welcome Geoff G. (GeoffTheScout) as the new GM of the :MIA-MLB: He is new to ProFSL, but is a veteran player.
Welcome! :toth:
-
Should be good times looking forward to it. Everyone is on the block like always for a new manager.
-
Welcome Geoff! Free Agency starts in a few weeks but you have a couple of decisions to make in the mean time. In addition to what shows on your roster the following are on expiring prospect contracts. You have until New year's Day at mpdnight to sign them or they become FA:
:MIA-MLB:
MI Mercer, Jordy, $0.5m (P-2016)
SP Gausman, Kevin, $0.5m (P-2016)
SP Grimm, Justin, $0.5m (P-2016)

Welcome Geoff :toast:

We are pleased to announce that Kevin (kidd5jersey) has agreed to become the new GM of the Tampa Bay Rays. Kevin is looking to build a competitive roster, as he has in other leagues, and help the Rays get back to the playoffs.

Welcome Geoff! Sad day that I didn't get the opportunity to use Kershaw in Armchair. Maybe we can swing another deal in here. Glad to see you joined. I'm Tampa now instead of TOR.
-
Glad you took my advice lol :toast:

Now you just need to give the Cubs name lol.

I'm Twins in this league haha so talk to the other guy
-
Please welcome Mets Donations accepted as the new GM of the Detroit Tigers!
Don't be too hard on him during this Festive Free Agent Season
-
Please welcome nottathedaddy as the new GM of the Oakland A's.
Sorry, I'm pretty aggravated at the moment. Needless to say 'daddy comes in with a lot of experience and a great reputation at ProFSL. Fortunately he inherits a team with a lot of potential. Shouldn't be too hard for him to blend in

Fantasy baseball leagues like our own FGM, sometimes have twists and turns that no one can anticipate. Our response to those twists and turns is often the tell tale sign whether the league is dealing from a source of strength or dealing from a source of impending failure.
FGM, ProFSL's original dynasty baseball league has been able to sustain itself because of our ability to be proactive and meet the needs of the league. During the past week, we've had to deal with a couple of messy situations: the sudden departure of the :MIL: GM and the "resurfacing" of a GM whom we thought had left ProFSL.
The challenge for Rick, and me, is how to rectify a given situation in a fair and just manner. In this instance, we asked for some help from one of our newest members, Travis (soonerorlitigator). Travis has agreed to fill the :MIL: vacancy so that we could offer Daniel the :TOR:, his former team.
I thought it was in everyone's best interest to get a more in depth explanation in this instance because we do not usually allow switching of teams. However, we felt compelled to do all we could to reinstate Daniel as the :TOR: GM and because of Travis' compassion and understanding, we believe that these moves are in the best interests of all parties: Daniel, Travis, and the entire league. We hope you agree.
So please welcome the return of Daniel as the "new" GM of the :TOR: and Travis (soonerorligator) as the new GM of the :MIL:
:toth:
-
Awesome! Great job in working this out!!! Special thanks to Travis for being understanding of the situation. Daniel is a long time GM and its good to retain him. Great job Flash and BHows in working something out to retain a long time GM. Much respect. :toth:
-
All credit goes to Ernie. He took the abuse and negotiated the deal.
Thanks Ernie!
-
I am glad to be back and that this situation was resolved. Really appreciate the effort. Thanks guys.
-
Wanna take Toronto huh? <BAD MOVE> Tampa is here to crush your hopes and dreams son. My sting Rays are going to hurt the AL East this season.
Kevin, TB
PS: Taking the Brewers was ingenious. He foresaw the Devil Ray rising!
-
I think you made good decision especially when Daniel has owned and built Toronto for good length time.

The Colorado Rockies have been searching for a reliable GM who will commit to the team on a long term basis. We have all seen a variety of GMs come and go over the past three years.
Finally, it seems like the Rockies, and the league, have found a GM who is willing to restore order in Colorado and lead the team back to the playoffs.
Please welcome Art A. (Dirty_Sanchez00)as the new GM of the Rockies. Art comes to FGM with the a lot experience and enthusiasm, and will be a definite asset to FGM.
Welcome to FGM! :toth:
-
Welcome to the league!
Let me know if you need any help getting up to speed. Good Luck and have fun.
-
Welcome to the league.
Kevin, TB

Thanks guys!

Welcome bro

The former Reds GM has decided to leave FGM. His position will be filled by a person familiar to many FGM veterans.
Please welcome the return of Dave M. (Tarheels55) as the new :CIN: GM.
:toth:
-
Sweet!!!!!! Welcome Dave!!! :winner:

Just today, the current :OAK: GM let us know that some changes in his life are going to require greater attention and he can no longer be a part of the league. We all know that reality will always take precedent over fantasy, so we wish him the best of luck. The :OAK: have changed hands a few times since their longtime owner, MillerTime, left to be a part of DynastySportsHQ, and now, we are hoping the third time will be a charm.
The :OAK: will now be run by Cliff W. (TheCliff), a veteran fantasy player from the state of Michigan. Please join me in welcoming Cliff to FGM.
:toth:
-
Thank you and I hope you are right; 3rd time will be a charm.
-
Glad to be back Guys.
:bacon:
-
WELCOME
-
Thanks Cliff

Welcome Cliff!

Welcome

After a seven month hiatus into the land beyond fantasy sports, a longtime ProFSL veteran has emerged from the clouds to re-join FGM as the new owner of the :NYM: Please welcome back Reid B. (Orange Country) as a "new" league member.
Welcome Reid! :toth:
-
Welcome Reid. :toast:
-
Welcome back Reid! :disco:
-
Welcome Reid!
-
Need to have you back Reid, enjoy!

As many of you know, the Marlins have been teetering because of a lack of attention and participation. After some assurances, the former GM was given a chance to show a willingness to be more proactive, but since those pledges were made, there has been no active participation. So, unfortunately, that created a dilemma for the league.
All of us know that sometimes real life takes precedence over fantasy sports, and none of us question the importance of taking care of personal interests above all else. As a league leader, the issue is nothing more than what's best for the continued success of Franchise GM. So, the decision has been made to stop trying to get more participation from someone by prodding, prying, and extolling. In the best interests of all concerned, a change is required and a change has been made.
Please welcome a longtime member of the ProFSL community as the new GM of the Miami Marlins, Joseph T. (firemanx). Joseph joined ProFSL in 2012 and we are pleased to have him in FGM.
-
Welcome Joseph! Hope you enjoy your time here.
