I believe we have already run out of teams. It was interesting to see a posting for another league on an FNHL thread. You have arrived as a league when people post other league business own a different leagues threads because they know it will be seen by the traffic. How does Ric Flair do it? WHHHHOOOOOOOOOWWWWW!

The 2016-17 FNHL season is a long one with 88 regular season games to decide post-season contenders! A few changes in the past 3 weeks.  &  slip out of the Top 10 while  and  slot in.
1.  PANTHERS 29-3 HOLDING GROUND
Carey Price does all the heavy lifting. Mrazek better than a backup. Stalberg surprise scoring threat past month. Delete Peetr Budaj & David Savard. ADD Top RW Kucherov to lead attack.
2.  BLACKHAWKS 27-5 HOLDING GROUND
Subtract Cam Ward, add Holtby. Jamie Benn, MacKinnon potting points nightly, while Andrew Shaw picking up slack from Mark Scheifele going down. Subtract Backlund, Elias Lindholm, Evander Kane, Ca Ward. ADD Holtby.
3.  KINGS 25-7 SURGING UP
Luongo offers enough in net, now joined by Budaj. Tarasenko & Saad scoring at will.
Kucherov exits LA.
3.  PREDATORS 25-7 CREEPING UP
Freddy Andersen & Gibson tandem still on their game. Eberle, Cam Atkinson, Burrows (really?), Josi do bulk of scoring. Subtract Lucic, Kopitar, Ramo. ADD JT Miller & Frolik, downgrade or upgrade?
3.  BRUINS 25-7 CREEPING UP
Rask & Talbot remain backbone of franchise, Speedster Pastrnak, MDZ & Krug keeps Bruins Top 3.
3.  REDWINGS 25-7 HOLDING GROUND
Jake Allen doing most of the work. Rookie Mantha and vets Cammalleri, Sam Gagner? (really) popping points for Wings.
7.  PENGUINS 24-8 HOLDING GROUND
Sid the Kid leads up front. What a surprise. Greiss and MAF posting points regularly.
7.  LIGTHNING 24-8 SLIPPING SLIGHTLY
Rasmus Ristolainen tasked with leading scoring for now. Bishop & Niemi still doing what they do best in goal for the Bolts. Injuries to Stamkos & Abdelkader hurting club. Subtract Johnny Hockey (Gaudreau), Goligoski. ADD Aho.
9. RANGERS 22-10 SURGING UP
Rookie Patrik Laine leads this team's production. Veterans Nash and Kesler offer support. Double trouble in net with Martin Jones and backup Vasilevskiy. ADD Derek Forbort to boost efforts? Fine tuning?
9. BLUES 22-10 SURGING UP
Jaden Schwartz has been carrying the team of late. Backes, Silverberg, Patrick Kane deliver regularly. 2 Headed monster in net with Mike Smith & Rinne. Subtract Getzlaf & Draisaitl. Add Emelin, Beleskey & Mike Smith.
has injuries and still sit 1 game from the 3rd best record in the league. Who wouldn't like to have their best player, that said, we love the challenge of trying to stay relevant even without Stammer. Going to see what my young Bolts are made of until the franchise player returns next year.

Was traveling earlier so I couldn't properly way in. I think it's a good deal for both teams. I have made similar deals moving draft picks for proven albeit more expensive Vets. The direction of the Canes is he is going to build a team of his own mold. Very respectable. I also tore up my inherited team to build the one I wanted. Snugerud is a GM that wants immediate dividends and that's a model I also agree with so I like it both ways for both parties.

When title contenders make trades to each other it always interesting. LA clearly going all in on netminder, a tremendous ripple effect to the Jonathan Quick injury. Ironically the road to the cup in Beantown looks to be the most gruesome. Can't wait to see how it all plays out.

The schedule tweak was one of the best things to happen to this league imo.
Recruitment of new blood that loves the challenge of a rebuild also one of the best things imo.
The schedule will once again need tweaked too add Vegas. It will be interesting to see how the new schedule tweaks out going forward.

... no FAs during the 2016-17 season ... can bid on FAs during the 2017 FA season.
Vegas management is all over this like stank on Fisher.  When we are eligible to bid on FAs, we will do our due diligence similar to that team in Tampa. Until then you would be remarkably surprised at the research our scouts have already done. The entire expansion draft may be over in 24 hours.

1.4m only qualifies for a 2yr contract max.
You can bump up the annual cap hit to 1.5m and do the 3yr deal.
Let us know if thats what you'd like. 3yr 1.5m vs 2yr at 1.4m.
