RP McHugh, Collin, $0.5m (2022)
SP Mikulski, Matt, $0.5m (P-n/a)

Brewers trade:
SP Beede, Tyler, $0.5m (P-2022)

The Giants traded away Tyler Beede to get Carlos Carrasco for their run to the 2021 playoffs.  That move proved to be beneficial because Carrasco provided some valuable SP points while Beede languished in the MiLB trying to find himself and never made it back to the MLB during the 2021 campaign.  Now, with the MLB Giants in need of the some pitching help, Tyler Beede may be used as a back-end SP during the 2022 season.  Giving up McHugh and Mikulski is a low risk move for the FGM Giants.  McHugh is a RP and an opener and Mikulski's debut will happen when there is another GM running the team (and no telling when, and if, that debut ever happens).  Given the run on pitching in free agency, trading for Beede could turn out to be worthwhile for the Giants.

As he noted he moved me Beede last year and I took a chance on him developing into what he was thought coming up in the minors. He had a rough year so I move him to get a RP. More importantly I really like the prospect. BA and MLB have him in the Giants top 10. He had a good year last year and could turn into a long term starter.
