The Angels and Marlins have agreed to the following deal:

This deal helps shore up the Angels depleted starting pitching and positions us well with a rental in Wainwright to help with the playoff push.  In order to secure Wainwright's services, we needed to part with a couple of young improving players, with plenty of control left.  Jones has solidified himself as DET's lead off hitter, but has been buried on our roster, due to OF depth.  We were looking forward to Almonte getting his chance in COL, but he's been on the shuttle between Coors and AAA all year.  Hoping both players do well in Miami, while we repurpose those roster spots for players that will provide a little more help for our run this year.
