The reality is you just answered the question regarding contraction. Also, what if I bench my team for the entire season because I want Aatu Raty, and the same in 2 yrs. because I want Shane Wright. No repercussions right, it's only fun. No seriousness.
I did vote for contraction but I think its better to do it before we do all the off season stuff for our teams, everyone will be better prepared. It will also give us a chance to see who is not a good fit with our league. I can see us going down to 16 teams at the end of the season. no offence to others who ran the league last year but the inactivity starts at the top and most of us could have been more active to keep it running smoother.
in regards to benching your lineup to tank that will never be ok. the problem we have with that is does someone have to check everyone every week to make sure they are checking there line up? it would be better if everyone in the league takes some responsibility with this and check the team you are playing that week and if they are not notify me so I can see if it was just a one time thing or not. one person is not going to be able to do all the checking up on people. on this subject I wouldnt mind a rule that you have to have a minimum # of games play by your players every week so a team cant set there lineup with all minor leaguers to tank the season. to me this not good for any league and is not realistic.
