Good story PPG! Sounds like it was a bit of the wild west in the early days of FNHL. Glad it's all pro now! :toast:

Who else is picturing anchor man battles?

I could see Blkhwkfn killing someone w a Trident. PR is definitely Burgandy and PPG Chip in sports

Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / Re: Canes and Ducks Trade

:CAR-NHL:
Tom Wilson, $1.8m (2017-2020)  … 10.0m (2020-2025)
Joshua Morrissey, $2.8m (2019-2022)

for

:ANA:
Haydn Fleury, $2.5m (2018-2021-EL)
Jayden Halbgewachs, $0.6m (2019-2021)
D - Drew Helleson (2019: 2/47 - 0 Games)  property of :COL-NHL:
LW - Marcus Karlberg (2018: 3/80 - 0 Games) property of :CBJ:
Round 3 - 2020  (from :ANA:*, originally :NAS:)

With the imminent outright loss of Wilson, we felt it was best to get a deal done. It's pretty much the 11th hour at this point and we feel we can move forward with this deal. Since the last Canes owner sold the farm (my guess is he had an "All In" "Win now!" strategy), we need to rebuild and restock our :ATL-NHL: Georgia Thrashers with some fresh bodies. Thanks to EndGame and the Anaheim Ducks for working with us on getting this deal done. :toast:

It makes a lot of sense as a cap deal. That’s about what I would have given for Mr Wilson.

I like the ducks are aggressively building by identifying leverage opportunities.

Tom’s contract won’t look bad in two years when all those mid teen contracts kick in. Hits never slump and Toms good for 20 goals.

Throw yourself in there Antman. You're totally worth watching too. For some reason, that really sounds terrible.
:toth:

I should’ve definitely given you a shout out. PPG isn’t going to make a ton of moves but all of them are high impact and quality. Nobody knows the rules or their team needs better

Not many moves required for the FNHL Flyers; built to win!

Good luck this season in that buzz saw division...

I looked around the league and was surprised to see there could be at least one team with close to or over $40 Million in cap space and possibly 5 teams with close to $20 Million!

What surprises me is that the team with nearly $40M :COL-NHL: Avalanche have $9.2 Million freed up right now and $33.4 Million in buy out cap hits but if I read the rules properly, it is possible for all of the buy out cap to be erased if say the bought out player gets signed in Free Agency. Is that correct?

That guy sounds really smart... or more likely that’s what happens when you purge 45m in goalie contracts from prior seasons failed attempts at the impossible cup.

I do like watching and following smart owner moves like ones from Mordaguy, Jonathan, Burkie. You can observe a lot just by watching...

This one needs sequencing approval and a look at the buyout. Cannot buyout or trade a guy you don’t own.

Keane looks like he’s moved way up the rankings so definitely an edge to whomever ends with that guy.

Good to see the trading action pick up.

Good trade indeed.

I also prefer the forward but with the cap room created I see a lot of value returning the Nashville also.

  on this deal

Salary Cap Warning

FNHL owners - make sure player extensions and salary cap total meets the range for the offseason.

Ex. One Metro Div team risks losing their recently resigned player if the player's new contract extension doesn't fit under the $81.5M + 10% offseason overage = $89.6M allowable cap ceiling thru the offseason only.

That's fair warning to all. :judge:

Very clear; we see you coming like a Hurricane

Wonder why the nws doesn’t do cool names. Hurricane “Pond Goon” is set to make landfall as a category 4. The Carolinas need to take precautions...

Anyone taking home Roslovic is winning in my book

Good trade all; EG is keeping the league active.

  • ldsjayhawk: @jwalker I make like 2-3 trades a year for each of my baseball teams, maybe.  I'll tell you part of the reason I don't trade.  Every trade discussion starts out with the other team wanting my top prospect regardless of what I am trading for.  I am not trading Jackson Holliday for your backup catcher who is going to play 20 games this year.

  • Brent: Nope, 32-team contract league.
  • ldsjayhawk: I don't have Holiday.  Just used him as an example since he was the #1 prospect

  • ldsjayhawk: @Alpha I do make trades.  I am just not giving up the entire farm to land a guy I can get out of the FA pool
    Today at 12:59:21 PM
  • ldsjayhawk: Trading should be a win-win situation for both teams.
  • dbreer23: Agreed. I think the Devers deal in FGM is a good example of that. Devers gives SD some now (and future) pop, giving up substantial pieces to get him (Mayo, Keith, and one other).
  • Brent: I had Holliday in FGM before I stepped away.
  • Brent: I am glad I cut back on leagues, I was spread too thin.
  • Jwalkerjr88: @idsjayhawk i understand that. To be clear, i wasnt judging anyone. I just know in NFL Live, you cant just draft 1-7 rds every year and sign a few FAs and be the champion. It wont happen
    Today at 01:52:08 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: Trading isnt easy. But neither is winning
    Today at 01:52:22 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: If you made a list of the most aggressive gms to have stepped foot in nfl live, you will notice the champions will be among them
    Today at 01:53:06 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: You arent gonna win every trade and you HAVE to have a plan. Ive made some horrible trades. I have every year
    Today at 01:53:50 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: Carolina has kyren williams right now cause i traded him for a 2nd and a 4th. Id rather have kyren today lol
    Today at 01:54:28 PM
  • Brent: Agreed.  I have Amon Ra St. Brown and Aiyuk because I traded JJ.  I couldn't have acquired a player like ASB where I was picking in the 1st so I down tiered at WR to make a trio of Chase, ASB and Aiyuk instead of JJ, Chase and fill in the blank.
  • ldsjayhawk: That is probably even more true in baseball since your drafts don't payoff for 5 years or so.  And I will admit my conservatism may be the reason I only have one championship here at ProFSL

  • BayAreaBallers: although my last draft class and fa class kinda lead me to a run so it can happen
    Today at 02:27:21 PM
  • Brent: Yeah, it does help to have a big draft class and available cap.
  • Brent: I'm contemplating doing a complete tear down in NFL Live and rebuild.  Honestly, I probably should have postered for it to be this season.  I still might, but I would legit need to go into the draft with 3-4 top 10 picks/+ many others.
  • Brent: postured
  • Jwalkerjr88: Yea nailing drafts and some key FAs helps too. But if you remember BAB you traded alvin kamara for the rams 1-7 draft picks. So the extra picks helped you nail the 2023 draft the way you did
    Today at 03:13:02 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: Its the combination of all three that is required is what im saying
    Today at 03:13:31 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: And brent a tear down with you assets would look interesting. Personally i just think you need break one big asset down into 3 good ones and move carr and go from there. But you have an A1 nfl mind so im sure you will nail whatever it is you decide
    Today at 03:14:39 PM
