Detroit trades
Adam Larsson, $5.6m (2018-2022)

Calgary trades
Round 2 - 2019 :CLG:


We inquired about the RedWings Trade Block and offered the asking price for Larsson. This helps us move forward in our rebuilding of the Flames. The Champ :DET-NHL: to confirm. :toast:

Detroit confirms. We traded for Trouba at the end of last season in our push for the  :SC-NHL:, so that made Larsson expendable. With Hughes and Pilut hopefully being full-time NHLers next year, I think it is a good idea to clear some cap and get back into the 2nd round of the entry draft.

:iatp: Detroit needs to make deals to preserve the preferred core of his Championship team. Good thing he's also great at the draft table and the second rounder will likely turnout to be an NHL regular. Larsson's a good dman playing in the wrong NHL city.

Detroit is making calculated moves. I believe this is necessary to keeping the core of the Red Wings championship team intact.
