Let's say I have used up all my off season cap overage and have resigned 4 players to extension that kick in when contracts rollover and my team has no cap overage available.

What happens to those players I extended? Do we get a period of time to fix that cap issue?

Just want to make sure we understand the rules and how they're applied.

In the end, if a team has no cap available to resign a pending FA player, that players becomes a free agent. There's no grey area.

A suggestion for an anti-tanking rule for future.

Each non- playoff team gets the position of the team that actually finished in the same spot in real life, and we determine the top 3 by way of the real life lottery. I am sure teams would still tank, as the #1 pick had #1 position, etc, but gives a team like we saw Carolina go from 11 to 2. The reason I suggest this is that is makes perfect sense for this fantasy league, given we use all the real teams.

I think some form of Draft Lottery is in order but it's an added thing to manage for the guys who run the league. If we go with a lottery we should follow the NHL. More work and thinking is needed.

Then there's this site that simulates the Lottery system of the 4 major sports. Maybe FNHL can use this site to determine our league's Top 3 slots?

If it's not to difficult to implement, a lottery system should be put in place. I'm on board for a draft lottery.
